As a Category Buyer Intern, you will work with the plants in the region. Your task will be to follow the procurement performance of specific parts (K5: machining parts) by managing a set of category suppliers. You will support in leading supplier relationship & development and ensuring the procurement execution. In line with industrial strategy, you will also execute the category strategy in the region by developing the regional APOP (Annual Procurement Operation Plan).

Your additional mission will be to support team members in elaborating and implementing cost analysis and easy price list download methodology.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Supplier management
Managing the global relationship between Schneider Electric & suppliers by:
o Attending to supplier management meetings, negotiating with the suppliers
o Building yearly supplier business performance improvement plan
o Contributing to supplier qualification with Supplier assessment
o Managing supplier risk
o Launching specific initiatives with the suppliers (Should Cost, ISO26000, DPO, Lean, etc.).
o Contractualize supplier relationship by supplier agreements, MSA, etc.

• Category APOP
Taking the category strategies into account, you will build and drive the category APOP, contribute to the definition of the Supplier Orientation Charts (SoC) and support deployment in the plants.
Experience and skills we are looking for:
• Fluent English language knowledge, both written and spoken
• Ongoing university studies in Supply Chain, Logistics or any equivalent field
• You have at least 2 more active semesters left of your studies
• Relevant work experience is a plus
• You have good problem-solving and analytical skills
• You are a fast-learner and have an open-minded attitude, looking for opportunities to improve your leadership skills
• You can navigate in a complex and agile environment

• Flexible schedule, (minimum) 24-30 hours/week

• Gross salary: 1600/hour
